there is no death. only a change of worlds. - s. necker

Mhmm. I’ve downsized my options and these are the ones that I’m really interested in.

The Karrimor Cheetah is a current fav. right now… There’s something about it. Damn.

lol, after reading your comment - i went to watch eat, pray, love’s movie trailer. did not know it was about traveling. but no, lol - i’m hoping that it’ll be more like ‘into the wild’ experience (minus the death due to food poisoning).
anyways, i think i’m perfect for this type of thing.
clueless guy + always getting into weird situations = fond memories.

At the end of this week, popping over TTDI to take a gander at this Wolfskin. Good for a 2 or 3 days trip, this 30 litre backpack might be enough for me to start out my first travel as a backpacker. After finally finished re-reading ‘Into the Wild’ by Jon Krakauer (and not just skimming it), I realized that I need to travel.
I’m going to start small and go to Singapore first. I have never been there before, I also need to meet this one particular girl and have closure, and I’d really like to see the Merlion’s way of running an island.
It’s funny when you learn that half of you is Minang (mother’s side). It’s suppose to be in your blood to travel, or as they call it ‘merantau’. A tradition for you to make a mark in the world, to learn to be independent and provide in any situation. It makes perfect sense to why I’ve always felt I don’t belong here - maybe there is something for me elsewhere.
I don’t know what I’m going to do in Singapore. Just stay in a hostel, and walk around like I did in Malacca earlier this year. I honestly enjoyed walking around alone because those were the only times (I noticed) I did not think about everything.
Hmm, maybe, I’ll take a bus, read the signs in the MRT Stations, bring a book, sit by the side of the road, watch people, get lost in translation. Whatever it is, I’m going to book a ticket for 2nd April, my birthday and hope for a fresh start. If I don’t like it, I wouldn’t have to worry - it’s only for a 3 days / 2 nights trip.
If I really like this, this whole “being alone and travel” and since I do not think about marriage or having a partner in my life anymore, maybe I’ll sit down for my TEFL, maybe I could become an English teacher in a foreign country -
Somewhere no one can find me… Not even Facebook. You know?  :)

Kanye West - Power (Trailer)

Director Marco Brambilla sought to depict the concept of power in the form of a “video tableau”, a moving painting that slowly reveals itself to the viewer with a continuous camera movement. The director seem to have perfected this technique in his previous creation, Civilization, a video mural created for the new Standard Hotel in New-York city. The symbolism present there is simply overwhelming.

Whether or not this music video is discontinued, the value of this artwork should not go unnoticed. Everything in it is based on a neo-classic aesthetic. If you get a hold of the single, listen to the end of the music - beautiful display of chord progression based on the 15th to 16th century Baroque music genre. But all in synth.

Oh yes, you can call it a hype on ‘Illuminati’ and such. If they did have a hand in this, imagine the potential and possibilities of tomorrow’s music videos would be like.

Wealth + Power = Access to knowledge (and technology).

common sense.

geometry enlightens the intellect and sets one’s mind right. all its proofs are very clear and orderly. it is hardly possible for errors to enter into geometric reasoning, because it is well arranged and orderly. thus the mind that constantly applies itself to geometry is unlikely to fall into error.
